2012 LotFotL CSA Terms and Conditions Contract

LotFotL Community Farm Terms and Conditions for 2012 season.

1. Please read and sign the following statement. If you agree to all of its conditions, check the box on the signup webpage. This document makes you a charter member of LotFotL Community Farm.

I, (by checking the agree box you are signing your name) , do hereby affirm my desire to become a member of LotFotL Community Farm in 2011. I will strive to participate in the events of the farm to the best of my ability. I will also give feedback to LotFotL, both positive and negative, but hopefully always in a constructive fashion, concerning their products and services. I am comfortable with the farm communicating changes, updates, and announcements about my shares via email, if I do not use email I will make special arrangements with the farm.

In signing up for a CSA share I am committing to investing the full cost of the share into the farm. Whether I pay in full or in installments, I am liable for the full amount of the share. I understand that the farm plans is vegetable production and makes investments based on these commitments, so it is imperative that I fully pay for my share.  In the event that I do not wish to continue with my share, I understand that there is $150 cancellation fee.

I will pick up or arrange for pick up of produce from the specified location in a timely fashion. If pick up cannot be arranged, CSA boxes will be picked up and removed the morning after delivery. Those folks working at the drop off points are not LotFotL employees, and they have their own jobs to do, so I will respect their space and labor force. I will address any questions or concerns about a CSA box with the farmer.

I understand that LotFotL cannot grow produce when the oceans boil over, or a comet strikes the fields, or in other acts-of-god situations. I’m willing to share in the risks of investing in an organic farmer and will not hold Tim Huth or LotFotL legally accountable for extenuating circumstances that may minimize the return on my investment. I understand that each box will be built from vegetable that are in season, so as the seasons develop so will the heartiness of the vegetables. That said, I am expecting a season’s worth of produce in very good condition, of reasonable quantity, and extra good quality as appropriate return on this investment.

2. By signing up for the CSA, I understand that I will be added to the weekly email list. This is how LotFotL communicates updates and changes, as well as what will be in shares each week.

If you don’t use email, please contact us, so that we can make sure you stay informed.

3. You are allowed to schedule vacation with us during the season. This will allow for you to put a hold on your CSA box for that given delivery date. You will then be given a credit to use to order a makeup vacation box in our farm store at your convenience. Credits must be used for vegetable purchases and cannot be redeemed as cash.

Worker shares- should first request an application by emailing april@lotfotl.com. Upon acceptance, you will be sent signup instructions.

Foodstamps and Quest cards- we can now accept these payments. Contact us for more info.

Thank you for choosing LotFotL Community Farm.  We look forward to growing with you this season.
