New!-LotFotL Breadshare program
Tim, of LotFotL is pleased to announce LotFotL's first ever Breadshare program
Christopher Newhouse, former baker with Nokomis Bakery in East Troy, has launched a new enterprise and is looking for markets, meaning you all.
So, with that, LotFotL is pleased to deliver bread along with produce, beef, and fruit, to drop off locations throughout the 2010 season.
Bread varieties will rotate throughout the season. That's not to say there will be 20 different types, but certainly none back to back.
Bread will be predominantly made of Certified Organic ingredients, and hopefully fully so. Breads will be yeasted and yeast free, and will most often be vegan too, but may occasionally contain honey. Bread will not be sliced, but will come in wholesome loaves.
- 20 weeks of bread delivered with your CSA share for $130.
- 10 weeks for $70
This is a great way to get fresh bread for the week at the same convenient location as your CSA drop off site.
This will be a bit of a trial year, so we are limiting this program to 30 participants. Also, this will only be available to those of you who are willing and able to commit to a full season. We are not able to provide bread every so often, or once in a while. It is an unfortunate reality of myself being a single member business, that I cannot keep that many balls up in the air at the same time.
OK, enough of the formal stuff.
A bit about Kettle Moraine Bread and Milling Company.
Varieties include combinations based on traditional European style breads created from stone ground organic whole grains and organic unbleached white flours. We have our own mills to grind grains, some local. We handcraft our breads using age-old methods. We encourage each small batch of bread to develop slowly, giving each loaf time to mature and reveal its special texture and taste. Sourcing local ingredients when available is our priority, even if it means higher cost. The combination of local ingredients, stone-milling and handcrafting in small batches gives us nutitional breads with a pleasing rich taste. This BreadShare program operates like a farm CSA. Supporting your local baker allows for better planning, superior bread, and a more vital community.
