Sweet and Sour Swiss Chard
Sweet and Sour Swiss Chard
I haven't tried this recipe yet but I think it could become a favorite.
Ingredients
- Swiss Chard
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1/4 Cup raisins or dried cranberries
- 2 Cloves garlic
- 3 Tablespoons vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Cut off chard stems and chop them, set aside. Cut chard leaves into 1 inch strips.
- Then Saute the chopped onion in 2 teasppons of oil until soft.
- Add the rest of the ingredients along with chard stems, cover and cook for 8 minutes.
- Place chopped leaves on top of mixture, cover and let cook another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir and serve.
